Babaamaajimowinan (Telling of news in different places)
During the months of October and November, Red Lake Family & Children Services conducted a fundraising campaign in the Elementary Schools to buy Christmas gifts for all the children on their case loads (kids helping kids).
The classes that raised the most and the classes that had the most creative penny jars received a pizza party.
The businesses in Redby also participated in this fundraising campaign.
Red Lake Family & Children Service staff would like to thank everyone that participated in this effort as the change collected allowed every child to receive a gift. Mr. Eklund and Miss Thake’s classes both received a pizza because they were within 37 cents of each other. All the classes were very creative and the staff at FCS had a hard time deciding who had the best container and two were chosen. The Mission School did a school wide container and they received a root beer float party for their generous efforts.
We would like to thank the businesses of Red Lake for their fundraising and donations.

Thank you to R/N/Z Magazine based in Connecticut who also sent two boxes of toys that were collected at a fundraising concert. The response to this first annual Christmas fundraising event was overwhelming and the staff at FCS sincerely thanks everyone for helping.
