Brian Lee Northbird

Brian Lee Northbird, 38 of Cass Lake, MN died unexpectedly Friday, January 27, 2012.

Traditional Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at the Prescott Community Center in Cass Lake, MN with Spiritual Leader Steve Jackson. A wake will begin Tuesday, January 31 at 5:00 pm and continue until the time of the service. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji assisted the family with arrangements.

He was born October 13, 1973 in Cass Lake, MN. He graduated from Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig school in Bena, MN. He attended additional schooling at Leech Lake Tribal College for carpentry. He was an avid sports fan, especially his favorite team the Miami Dolphins, in particular, quarterback Dan Marino. He enjoyed good laughs with his good sense of humor with family and friends. He was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. He enjoyed working on his car, cooking, watching movies, going to the casino and ricing. He loved spending time with his family; especially his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his father: Gene Northbird Step-father: Clyde Tibbetts Brothers: Gene Louis Northbird and Shannon Northbird Sisters: Becky Northbird and Sierra Northbird Grandparents: Norma and Larry Dog companion: Muck-wa He was preceded in death by his mother Debra Tibbetts, paternal grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Honorary Casketbearers will be all of Brian’s family and friends.

Active Casketbearers will be Kris Roybal, Lou Grayhawk, Merrick Moose, Keith Armstrong, Charlie May, David Jones, Jr. and alternates Richard Northbird and Dave Jones, Sr.
