White Earth debuts positive living program

WHITE EARTH, Minn. – The White Earth Police Department has released a new DVD and workbook series aimed at educating children on positive living called “I Am!”

The series is designed to educate children in second and third grade on the topics of self-esteem, use of medicine, substance abuse, anger management and appropriate touching. The materials are presented to students by their teachers with the assistance of a White Earth police officer as well as tribal leaders.

The White Earth Police Department intends to continue the series in other grades with lessons following the children into the classroom as they get older and advance to their next grade level.
