Bemidji DNR still requires burning permits

Individuals seeking to burn materials will need to apply for a burning permit through the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

Permits can be written for all day and can be approved for up to three days.

Once there is 3 inches of continuous snow coverage it will no longer be necessary to issue burning permits, Beryl Wernberg, the 911 Communications Supervisor/Emergency Management Director for Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office, said in a press release.
