Leonard Branch, 53, of Shevlin, MN, died Thursday, January 5, 2012 at his home.

Leonard Herbert Branch was born June 29, 1958 in Minneapolis, Minn. To Herbert & Marcella (Sanftner) Branch. He grew up and attended school in Hopkins, MN and graduated from Eisenhower Senior High School in Hopkins, Minn. Attended Minneapolis Business College. Leonard married Eileen Rotta on April 12, 1986 in Perham, Minn. He attended Ashland Tech. College in Ashland, Wisc. He lived in Spooner, Wisc. 1986-1987 and Ashland, Wisc. 1987-1998 where he worked as a produce manager. Lived in Brooklyn Park, Minn. 1998-1999 where he worked as an accountant. Leonard has lived in Bemidji since 1999 where he worked as an accountant at the Palace Casino in Cass Lake, MN and in 2001 worked as an accountant at the Red Lake Gaming Office. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, rodeos, riding, roping, his horses, camping and doing roping demonstrations at Buena Vista Logging Days. He taught 4-H members how to rope. He was a member of Horse Fever Saddle Club, Go & Whoa Harness Club, was Captain of the Beltrami County Mounted Posse & treasurer of Open Range Ropers Saddle Club.

Survived by Daughter, Tina (Evan) Garrison, Bemidji, Minn .; Son, Jesse Branch, Bemidji, Minn .; Fiancé, Tammy and children, Parents, Herbert & Marcella Branch, Minnetonka, Minn .; brothers, Darrel (Chris) Branch, Minnetonka, Minn .; Steve (Cheryl) Branch, Hopkins, Minn .; Vince (Karen) Branch, New Ulm, Minn .; & Dennis (Tiffany) Branch, St. Paul, Minn .; Sister, Mary Lou (Bill) Anderson, Robbinsdale, MN; many nieces, nephews, aunts & uncles. Many friends and his horses.
