Jacob Mark Day

Jacob M. Day, 27, of Northome died on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 as a result of an auto accident in Funkley, Minnesota.

A Gathering and Sharing Time will be from 5-8:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Cease Family Funeral Home of Blackduck. Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Day, Mathew Isaac, Nathan Isaac, Ryan John, Ivan John and Winston Lievsay.

He was born in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada June 18, 1984 to Mark and Annette (White) Day. He was raised in Ontario then moved to Mizpah, Minnesota where he met and married Shana Abbott. He enjoyed fishing, gaming, hunting, technology from phones to computers and was learning to farm. He was a loving dad who loved to cook good spicy food by grilling and smoking. His outgoing personality made entertaining easy for him. He worked for Soder’s Meats in Northome until the time of his death.

He is survived by his wife, Shana of Northome; two children, Samuel and Seth Day, both of Northome; his mother, Annette (Gary Bird) Day of Mount Pleasant, MI; father, Mark Day of Tennessee; his step-mother, Brenda Day of Windsor, Ontario, Canada; mother-in-law, Laura (Gary Christianson) Gibbs of Northome; brothers and sisters, Christopher Day of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, Lavina Day of Arizona, Joshua Day of Tennessee, Lisa, Marcell Day, Bill and Kristi, all of Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
