Clarence Joseph Sayers, Jr.

Clarence Joseph Sayers, Jr., 26, of Red Lake entered the spirit world Thursday, November 17, 2011 at Red Lake.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Friday, November 25, 2011 at the St. Mary’s Mission Catholic Church in Red Lake, MN with Father Jerry Rogers officiating. A wake will begin on Wednesday afternoon at the Red Lake Center. Interment will be at the St. Mary’s Mission Catholic Church cemetery in Red Lake, MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

Clarence was born February 3, 1985 in Red Lake, MN the son of Clarence Joseph Sayers, Sr. and Janet Blue. He was educated in Bemidji and Red Lake Schools, later receiving his GED. He loved to cook, enjoyed traveling to pow-wows, playing poker and always enjoyed being around his family and friends. He was best known for his great sense of humor, big smile and where ever he went, he always filled the room with laughter, which is how he met people and made many life-long friends. He was a very out-going person.

He is survived by his father Clarence Sayers, Sr., brother Francis Blue, sister Florence Sayers, special aunt Mary Brun, special sister Tara Mae Lussier and God son Braydyn Rosebear, several aunts, uncles and cousins all of Red Lake.

He was preceded in death by his brother Jack Sayers, mother Janet, his paternal grandparents Alvin “Skippy” and Mary “Baby Girl” (Sayers) Carl, his maternal grandparents Andrew and Jane (Feather) Blue.

Honorary Casketbearers will be Will Tyler, Ben Tyler, Garrick Lawrence, Rick Jourdain, Dave Jourdain, Mike Jourdain, Edward Jourdain, Fabian Cloud, Craig Cook, Clayton Cook, Marc Jones, Avery White, John Graves, Curtis Jourdain, Raelynn Martin, Michelle Buffalo, Dee May, Rochelle Strong, Kayla Downwind, Brianne Brun, Lorelle Brun, Verlin Kingbird, Jr., and all other family and friends.

Active Casketbearers will be Ron Brun, Brian Brun, Patrick Brun, Brett Brun, Frank Wind, Tobias Wind, Wilburt Wind, Jason King, Wayne Lussier, Jr., Keith King, Talon Rosebear, Paul Joudain, Mark Jourdain and Franklin (Will) Beaulieu.
