Mazopiya to Hold Taste of the Holidays

Prior Lake, MN – What do the holidays taste like to you? At Mazopiya, they taste like mulled apple cider, Ginger snap cookie smoothie, Vegan Chocolate Cake with Peppermint Icing, baked squash, holiday fruit (pomegranates, figs, grapes, citrus), Gorgonzola Cheese Ball, and Smoked Salmon Cream Cheese Spread.

Mazopiya, a natural food market located in Prior Lake will hold an all day holiday food extravaganza Saturday, December 3, 2011. Open to the general public, the event’s theme is “Taste of the Holidays.” Held from 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., the special event will feature samples in each department of the store, cooking demonstrations, giveaways, and prize drawings in addition to a special deli menu and store wide savings.

Some of the samples to be available at various times during the day include Tomato Basil Gouda Wrap with Prosciutto, Organic Cranberry Broccoli Salad, meats, cheeses, soups, cookies, breads with spreads, and more. Wellness and bulk samples will also be distributed.

“This is a great opportunity to try a wide variety of new foods and to learn about Mazopiya and its commitment to clean, organic products,” said SMSC Retail Manager Michelle Watson. Friendly and knowledgeable staff will be on hand to guide guests through the store and answer questions.

As part of the festivities, Red Lake Nation Foods will host a free Holiday Garland Workshop using popcorn and cranberries from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Mazopiya Community Room. All ages are welcome.
