LEVEL 3 PREDATORY OFFENDER SOUGHT BY MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS
The Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC) has issued a warrant for the apprehension of Clarence Robinson (aka Clarence Lee Jones, James Edward Robinson or Maurice Robinson), a level three predatory sex offender. Robinson is on Intensive Supervised Release for a 1997 conviction of burglary in the first degree from Hennepin County in which he sexually assaulted a female victim.
Subsequent convictions include escape from custody (Carver County), attempted escape from custody (Anoka County) and multiple robbery and burglary convictions.
Robinson was released from the Minnesota Correctional Facility – Stillwater on 10/27/2011. He has been on fugitive status since November 1, 2011 when he walked away from a halfway house placement.
Robinson is 39 years old. He is African American, 6’2”, 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen in Minneapolis wearing blue jeans, a light blue button-down collar shirt, and a blue puffy jacket.
Citizens should not attempt to confront Robinson. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or the DOC 24-hour tipline at 651-603-0026.
