Stephanie Cecelia Vencel Leikvoll, 41 of Bemidji died Sunday, October 30, 2011.

Memorial Services will be at 11:00 am Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Bemidji, MN with Fr. Craig Vasek officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, November 4, 2011 from 5-7 pm with a prayer service at 6:30 pm at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bemidji and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. A private interment will be at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Bemidji, MN at a later date.

She was born April 2, 1970 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin the daughter of Stephen and Betty (Newman) Vencel. She grew up in Bemidji attending school at St. Philip’s and graduating from Bemidji High School in 1988. She graduated from Bemidji State University with degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education. She taught at a number of schools in the area. She was currently employed with the Red Lake School District. She had a great passion for teaching, loved children and loved being a mother, a Godparent and an auntie.

She is survived by her daughter: Elizabeth Kathryn Leikvoll of Bemidji Husband: Roland Leikvoll, Jr. of Bemidji Parents: Stephen and Betty Vencel of Bemidji Siblings: Gabrielle (Grant) Olson of Willmar Kristin (Christopher) Jackson of Santa Clara, CA Timothy (Samantha) Vencel of Hong Kong four nephews, two nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins

She was preceded in death by her infant brother, two uncles and her grandparents.
