NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a special election has been called and will be held in conjunction with the state general election in and for Independent School District No. 38 Red Lake Schools, State of Minnesota, on Tuesday, the 8th day of November, 2011, for the purpose of voting on the following question:
To vote for a question, put an (X) in the square next to the word “YES” for that question.
To vote against a question, put an (X) in the square next to the word “NO” for that question..
SCHOOL DISTRICT BALLOT QUESTION 1
APPROVAL OF SCHOOL DISTRICT TO
INCUR INDEBTEDNESS WITH A MAXIMUM EFFORT CAPITAL LOAN
Shall the School Board of Independent School District No. 38, Red Lake Minnesota be authorized to incur indebtedness of the District in the amount not to exceed $32,586,000 for the purpose of Building, Renovations, Additions, Remodeling, and Demolition to the High School, Middle School, Red Lake and Ponemah Elementary Schools and Red Lake Early Childhood Center by applying for a loan from the State of Minnesota’s maximum effort school loan fund in such amount as may be available to the District?
APPROVAL OF THIS QUESTION DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SCHOOL
DISTRICT WILL RECEIVE A CAPITAL LOAN FROM THE STATE. THE LOAN MUST
BE APPROVED BY THE STATE LEGISLATURE AND IS DEPENDENT ON AVAILABLE
FUNDING.

The following places for this election and the precincts served by those polling places will be as follows:
Little Rock Precinct - Little Rock Center
Red Lake Precinct - Red Lake Community Center
Redby Precinct - Redby Community Center
Ponemah Precinct - Ponemah School
Clearwater County Residents – Littlerock Community Center
Any eligible voter residing in the school district may vote at said election at the polling place designated above for the precinct in which he or she resides. The polls for said election will be opened at 4:00 o’clock p.m. and will close at 8:00 o’clock p.m. on the date of said election.
A voter must be registered to vote to be eligible to vote in this election. An unregistered individual may register to vote at the polling place on election day.
