The construction project on County State Aid Highway 8 (Roosevelt Road) will begin the paving process starting Tuesday October 18th. The paving is expected to take 7 or 8 days to complete. Please find alternate routes to avoid this area if possible. If you must travel in the construction area expect delays and use caution.

For more information regarding this closure please contact the Beltrami County Highway Department at 333-8173.

Effective yesterday afternoon October 18, 2011 the intersections of Minnesota Ave NW at 10th St, 11th St, 12th St and 14th St NW will be closed to traffic to install gutters and curb. This will be in effect through this weekend, possibly completed Saturday night depending on weather.

The intersections of 8th, 10th, 12th and 24th on the west side of Irvine will be paved this week so they should be open shortly (NOT YET! But soon).

As with all things the weather plays an integral role so beware of new developments.

DETROIT LAKES, Minn.— Crews will conduct traffic surveys on Wadena area roadways Tuesday, Oct. 25 through Thursday, Oct. 27 from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Interviewers will randomly select a sample of motorists and direct them into designated survey stations at points along Highway 10, Highway 71, Highway 29 and Wadena County Road 4. They will ask motorists to participate in a 30- to 45-second interview regarding travel patterns and purposes. The voluntary survey is part of the Wadena Area Transportation Study, a partnership between the city of Wadena, Otter Tail County, Wadena County and the Minnesota Department of Transportation. The collected data will help the study partners understand motorists’ behaviors in the Wadena area and develop the future transportation plan to accommodate the region as it continues to grow.
