Ramona Jean Sumner-Roy, 39, of Red Lake, MN died Saturday, October 15, 2011 at her home in Red Lake.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 20, 2011 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Red Lake, MN with Fr. Jerry Rogers officiating. A wake will begin at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at the Little Rock Community Center and continue until the time of services on Thursday. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Red Lake, MN. The Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home & Cremation Service assisted the family with arrangements.

Honorary bearers will be John Sumner, Bryan Sumner, Talon Rosebear, Maurice Cobenais, Lonnie Fier, Ally Johnson, Donis Smith, Samira Sumner, Leanne Pacheco, Dustin Beaulieu, Derek Beaulieu, Heather Smith, Dawn Beaulieu, Lee Fier, Allene Harrison, Angel Smith, Shanelle Harrison and Jessica Johns.

Pall bearers will be, Jim Beaulieu, Tony Hill, Gerry Beaulieu, Sam Hill, Doug Beaulieu, Travis Varney Sr. and Alternates, Corey Beaulieu and Darren Cobenais.

She was born on January 20, 1972 to Margaret (Hill) and Henry Sumner in Red Lake, MN. She graduated from South High School in Mpls, MN in 1989. She married Robin Roy August 12, 2004 in Red Lake, MN. She enjoyed going to the casino, pow wows, traveling and being with family and friends. She was a very outgoing person with a great sense of humor, always making people laugh.

She is survived by husband, Robin Roy of Red Lake; daughters, Victoria Becerra, Alicia Sumner, Leticia Sumner, Mia Sumner, Echo Roy, Nicole Roy, Charlene Boswell and special daughters, Angel Smith and Lonnie Fier all of Red Lake; special sons, Nicolas (Veronica) Sumner and Talon Rosebear; granddaughters, T.J. and Shawna Becerra of Red Lake; sister, Thelma (Bill) May of Red Lake; brothers, Leonard (Melinda) Sumner of Thief River Falls, MN, Henry (Ann) Sumner Sr. and Stuart (LeeAnn) Sumner all of Red Lake; special friend, Melvin Feather III; several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Henry Sumner; son, Jordan Sumner; maternal and paternal grandparents; sister, Karen Faye Sumner; nephew, Simon Pacheco.
