Attention Cass Lake Residents: Enbridge Pipeline Maintenance

Attention Cass Lake residents, Enbridge is planning to perform valve work on its 34-inch pipeline within our South Cass Lake pumping station located south of US Trunk Highway 2 and west of State Highway 371, within the boundaries of the Leech Lake Reservation.

Along with the survey work that was previously completed, we will be venting our 34-inch pipeline with nitrogen. During this time, you may experience a loud hissing sound coming from the pipeline station. This sound may last up to four to six hours.

During the valve work, we will have contractors walking on site to monitor an internal tool that will be traveling through the pipeline. Again, no ground disturbance will occur, only people walking the right-of-way.

This work is scheduled to take place on or around October 17; however, our schedule is subject to change due to certain conditions.
