Woman injured in three-vehicle crash near Bemidji

A 35-year-old Bemidji woman suffered minor injuries in a three-vehicle crash at about 8:45 a.m. Monday near Bemidji.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol out of Thief River Falls:

Giiwedin W. Butcher, 20, of Ponemah, was driving a 1999 Dodge Caravan south on state Highway 89 when he collided with a westbound 2002 Ford pickup which was headed west on U.S. Highway 2.

The pickup was in the right lane on Highway 2 and was pushed into a 1999 Chrysler 300M

Shanon A. Erickson, the driver of the pickup, suffered injuries and was not taken to a hospital.

Butcher was not injured. The driver of the Chrysler, Kevin B. Holm, 29, of Bemidji, also was not injured.

All three were wearing their seat belts.

The pickup was totaled. The Caravan sustained severe damage and the Chrysler sustained moderate damage.
