Beltrami County Sheriff's Department: Road construction updates

MnDOT crews are currently in the process of restricting the eastbound lane of Highway 10 between Staples and Motley (approximately one mile east of Lakewood Health System/hospital) to a single lane to allow crews to repair and concrete patch the roadway. The roadway will be restricted to a single lane overnight to allow for curing time for the concrete. This work is expected to be completed by mid-day, Tuesday October 11.

If you are traveling during harvest season, especially west: MnDOT asks motorists, farm equipment operators to safely share the road during harvest season

BEMIDJI, Minn. — Motorists traveling on Minnesota highways this fall need to be aware of large farm equipment transporting crops to markets, grain elevators and processing plants, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. This message comes following two recent crashes, including one fatal crash, involving farm equipment. There has already been a fatal accident on the western side of Minnesota involving a farm semi and passenger car. Use caution.

Work continues on Mission Rd SE from Power Dam Rd to just north of Roosevelt Rd NW. Use caution- the rain we had today made for some mud puddles along the way. All other projects still under way as well.

Work continues in several areas. Roosevelt Rd SE between Lake Ave NE and Co Rd 50 is coming along well but not tarred yet. Use caution.

Drive safe.
