Myrna Beaulieu

Myrna Beaulieu, 59, of Red Lake, MN, died Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at her home.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Monday, October 10, 2011 at the St. Mary’s Mission Catholic Church in Red Lake, MN with Father Jerry Rogers officiating. A wake will begin at 11:00am, Saturday, October 8, 2011, at the Red Lake Community Center in Red Lake, MN, and will continue until the time of the service. Interment will be at the St. Mary’s Mission Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake, MN under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

She was born on October 5, 1952, in Red Lake, MN, the daughter of James and Christine (Johnson) Lussier. She was raised in Red Lake, until at the age of 7, her family moved to Chicago. She went to school and worked a variety of jobs there, including at the Chicago O’Hare International Airport. Her family moved back to Red Lake in 1969. She married Glenn Beaulieu Sr. in 1972 in Red Lake, MN. She worked for Red Lake Housing and the Red Lake Rehabilitation Center over the years, as well as a commercial fisherwoman. Her husband Glenn passed away on March 17, 2006. She enjoyed cooking, playing the card game Crazy 8's, and going to the Casino. She had a big heart for everyone and a beautiful smile. She loved and was very devoted to her grandchildren.

She is survived by: Children, Mary (Myron Martin) Lussier of Red Lake, Jane Beaulieu of Red Lake, Glenn (Patricia Owens) Beaulieu Jr. of Red Lake, Reva (Rod Morris) Beaulieu of Red Lake, Lisa (Brad Long Jr.) Beaulieu of Red Lake, Ivy Beaulieu of Red Lake, John Beaulieu of Red Lake Granddaughter she raised, Chassity Roy of Red Lake, Special Friend, Mike Defoe of Red Lake, Brothers, Laverne Lussier of Red Lake, Ervin (Laurel) Lussier of Red Lake, Russell (Debra) Lussier of Red Lake, Gerald L. Lussier Sr. of Red Lake, Sister, Barbara “Hubba” Vasquez of St. Paul, MN, 21 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brothers Allen James Lussier, Gerald Lussier, Greg Lussier, sisters Reva Lussier, Irene Lussier, and grandson Merle J. Wakonabo Jr.

Active Casketbearers will be: Phillip Fineday Jr., Mike Defoe, David Roy, Gabriel Beaulieu, Robin Lussier, Lloyd Donnell, with alternates James Lussier, and Ray Oliver.
