Region 2 Arts Council Sponsors Photography 101 for Artists workshop

If you

• are an artist who creates two or three dimensional art

• present your work in photographs (web site, gallery, juried exhibitions, portfolio, catalog, etc)

• want to improve your skills to create images with correct exposure, color, background, focus and impact that are commensurate with the quality of the art

• want to better understand the functions built into your camera that will help you show your work at its best…

Then Photography 101 for Artists taught by experienced local photographer and presenter Cal Rice is for you!

You will need a camera (best with an SLR camera with manual exposure settings and manual white balance settings), the owner’s manual, and if possible, a piece of your art that may be photographed as a demo in class. You will receive a gray card to assist in getting correct color and exposure, notes covering most of the topics covered in class, and if your art is used in a photography demonstration, you may receive the resulting image.
