Saint John’s Prep Recognizes Blandin Foundation

Collegeville, MN: On September 17, 2011, Fr. Timothy Backous, OSB, Headmaster of Saint John’s Preparatory School in Collegeville, MN, honored the Blandin Foundation during a reunion of Native American alums of the school.

Backous stated, “The Blandin Foundation has been one of our largest partners in providing the opportunity for rural community members, including the Native Americans, to attend Saint John’s Prep. In turn, these alums have returned to their communities and have made positive impact for others.”

The reunion included a summary of the long history between Saint John’s and the Red Lake Band of Chippewa Indians, testimonials by Native American alums, along with the recognition of the Blandin Foundation for their continued mission of supporting rural communities.
