ATTENTION RED LAKE DEER HUNTERS

A drawing will be held on January 3, 2012 for:

Marlin Model x7 .270 Winchester rifle with 3x9 scope

Avenger Pro Sniper Tree Stand

The Red Lake Department of Natural Resources’ Wildlife program is requesting voluntary submission of ADULT deer for Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) and Tuberculosis (TB) testing. This testing is being done to help protect the health of Red Lake’s deer herd.

To qualify for the raffle, bring the deer (or the intact head and at least 6 inches of neck) to the RLDNR building weekdays beginning September 19th between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Your name will be entered into the drawing for each deer you bring in. Heads can be brought in up to a week after the deer is harvested.

Samples will be collected from the neck (CWD) and cheek area (TB) for testing, the remainder of the deer will not be affected.
