Gail Andrea May, 50, of Red Lake died Monday, August 8, 2011 at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the Little Rock Community Center in Red Lake with Pastor Josephine Smith officiating. A wake will begin on Thursday at the Little Rock Community Center and will continue until the time of the services on Saturday. Interment will be at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

Gail was born December 6, 1960 in Red Lake, MN the daughter of Sally (Neadeau) May and Arnold May. She attended school in Red Lake, Minneapolis and graduated from Chillocco Indian School. She attended classes to be a CPA at AIOIC in Minneapolis. She worked as a chef for the Thief River Falls Casino. She loved spending time with her partner in life for the last 18 years Dean Guinn, family and especially the children. She enjoyed going to the casino, gardening, baking, babysitting, attending pow-wows to watch the young children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews dance.

She is survived by her daughter: Angela May Son: Joey L. (Alvina) May Special son: Sam White, Sr. Mother: Sally E. May Grandchildren: Samantha G. White, Samuel J. White, Jr. Thomas L. May, Maleice A. White, Merelle J. White, Aaliyah R. May, Jacy L. May, Joey L. May, Jr. and Emanuel Phillips Fiancé: Dean L. Guinn 4 sisters: Earline (Tony) May, Rhonda May, Valerie (Leslie) May and Charla (Dennis) Geionety 1 brother: Charles (Alice) May and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by Joey Watkins, father Arnold G. May, grandparents Joseph and Martha May and Gertrude and Andrew Neadeau, nephews Jason “Tim-Bear” Coleman-May, Curtis Heinonen, Timothy Geionety and Larry Smallwood.

Honorary Casketbearers will be Gladys Guinn, C.C. Bird, Georgianna Jourdain, Leberta Geionety, Sally L. May, Shanoah May, Denise May, Donnell Guinn, Roy Guinn, Joyce Guinn, Delores Hill and Arnold May III.
