Rainee Dawn Hill

Rainee Dawn Hill, 28, "Tatanka Wiciyanna" which means Buffalo Girl, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth.

Rainee was born on May 19, 1983 in Minneapolis to Kenneth Hill and Wanda (Burris).

Rainee worked for many years in construction as a roofer. She was fluent in Spanish and was often called upon to translate for Hispanic people. Because Rainee strongly believed we are all one Tribe, she brought many young children and people across the border to reunite with family.

Rainee is survived by her only son Willie Urrutia Jr., Mother Wanda Burris, sisters: Elaine, Kelly, Jill, Morningdove and Angel; brothers Ken, Sly, Joseph, Justice and Shadow. Preceded in death by her father Kenneth Hill, brother Kenneth ("Son"), Grandparents Woodrow Burris and Dora Davis (Raisch), Raymond Hill and Ida Wadena. Many Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

A wake service for Rainee will begin at 5:00 p.m., Monday, July 18 and continue until the 11:00 a.m. Tuesday service all at the Veteran's Memorial Building in Cass Lake, MN. Internment will be held in the Morgan Cemetery in Cass Lake following the service.
