Gladys Elizabeth Robinson, 76, of Cass Lake, died Monday, July 4, in her home.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 8, at the Veteran’s Memorial Building in Cass Lake, with the Rev. George Ross officiating. A wake will begin at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, at the Veteran’s Memorial Building and will continue until the time of services on Friday. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Cass Lake under the direction of Cease Family Funeral Home of Cass Lake.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Matthew LaDuke Terry LaDuke, Thomas Robinson, Nicholas Robinson, Jordan Robinson, William Ethier, Andrew Robinson and Peter Morgan, with alternates Anthony Robinson and Jesse Papasodora Sr.

She was born February 12, 1935, to Martin and Mary Jane (Hart) Bobolink, in Cass Lake. She was raised and educated in Cass Lake. She married Richard Robinson Sr., on August 18, 1952, in Minneapolis, Minn. They briefly made their home in Minneapolis and moved back to Cass Lake, where she lived since. She graduated from BSU in 1978, with a degree as a social worker. She worked with Leech Lake Reservation for 19 years as a social worker until she retired in 1997, due to a heart attack. She was an Elder Advocate from 2000 to 2003 and retired because of health issues. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading scripture and witnessing to family and friends, and attending garage sales.

She is survived by her sons, Richard (Valerie) Robinson Jr., of Cass Lake, Martin (Lila) Robinson of Cass Lake, Terry Lee Robinson Sr., of Cass Lake, and Larry (Helen) Robinson of Cass Lake; daughters, Sue Robinson of Cass Lake, Kelly (Tony) Robinson of Cass Lake; 23 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Bonnie Robinson-Morgan; grandsons, Skye and Zachery Fairbanks; sisters, Delores (Bobolink) Allen, Beatrice Bobolink and Bernice Bobolink.
