Ernest Therriault

Ernest Therriault, 60, of Squaw Lake, died Thursday, June 23, 2011, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, Minn.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 30, at Squaw Lake Community Center in Squaw Lake, with Spiritual Leader Allen Hardy officiating. A wake will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, at the Squaw Lake Community Center, and will continue until the service. Burial will be in Bellanger Cemetery at Squaw Lake following the service Thursday. Northern Peace Funeral Home of Walker handled the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Curtis Bellanger, Isaac RedDay, Isaiah RedDay, Joshua RedDay, Justin Bellanger and Julian Dreher. The alternate pallbearer will be Lowell Fisher.

Honorary pallbearers will be Opichee Dunkley, Michael Dunkley, Jeremy Bellanger and Nigel Bellanger Guinn.

He was born April 28, 1951, in Nakina, Ontario, to Louis and Harriet (Kathkins) Therriault. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, ricing and visiting with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Therriault of Cass Lake; sons, Lucas Therriault of Cass Lake, Zachary Therriault of Bemidji and Derrick Therriault of Bemidji; daughters, Wahkuna (Julian) Dreher of Bemidji and Supaya Therriault of Cass Lake; four brothers; five sisters; five grandchildren and others relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harvey; and mother- and father-in-law.
