Dallas Lovejoy

Dallas LaVerne Lovejoy, 24, of Rice Lake, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at the Clearwater Memorial Hospital in Bagley.

A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 11, at the Rice Lake Community Center in Rice Lake, with Spiritual Leader Mike Dahl officiating. A wake will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, June 10, also at the Rice Lake Community Center. Burial will be in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery in Naytahwash. Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted with the arrangements.

He was born September 5, 1986, to Kenneth Wade Jr. and Sharon Lovejoy in Minneapolis, Minn. He moved to Rice Lake about 10 years ago and often traveled back to St. Paul. He went to school in Mahnomen and received his G.E.D. from White Earth Technical College. He attended Carpenter School in Waubun and was recently licensed as a Black Jack Dealer in Mahnomen. He enjoyed spending time with his children, friends and family, fishing, camping, basketball and music.

He is survived by his children, LaiLee Lovejoy and Dallas Lovejoy Jr. of Naytahwash; significant other, Lacy Armstrong of Rice Lake; mother, Sharon Lovejoy (Todd Fairbanks Sr.) of St. Paul, Minn.; father, Kenneth Wade Jr. of Ebro, Minn.; brothers, Darrell Lovejoy (Nicole Burnette) of Nay Tah Wash, Todd Fairbanks Jr. of St. Paul, Minn., Shawn Wade of Bemidji; step-brothers, Kenneth Taylor of McGregor, Minn., and Korey Benaise of Prior Lake, Minn.; grandmother, Gladys Hare of Bagley; grandfather, Larry Lovejoy of Flayger, S.D.; three aunts and an uncle.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joan Wade, and three uncles.
