Benjamin Henry Roberts

Benjamin Henry Roberts, 47, of Minneapolis passed away May 25, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family.

Benjamin was a very happy person with a great sense of humor. He loved to crack jokes and make people laugh. He was always able to cheer people up when they needed it. One of his favorite things to do was to play poker. He was the type of guy who helped everyone, he will be remembered for his famous line "I'd give you the shirt off my back". Benjamin loved his family very much and always wanted to be with them.

He was preceded in death by his father Floyd, grandparents, brother; Jeffrey and sister; Marilyn.

Benjamin is survived by his son; Benjamin Boswell of Minneapolis, daughters; Nina Roberts and Candace Rock both of Minneapolis, brothers; Floyd, Jr. and Michael Roberts both of Minneapolis, sisters; Roxanne and Roslynn Roberts both of Minneapolis and Jennie Pasillas of Minneapolis, special daughter; Ashley Red Eagle and his 5 grandchildren; Devin, Jr., Derek, Emanual, Evan and Evette.

Wake services for Benjamin will began at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, May 26, 2011 and will continue until the 12:00 p.m. service Friday, all at The Church of Gichitwaa Kateri in Minneapolis. Pallbearers for Benjamin will include Michael Roberts, Floyd Roberts, Joseph Roberts, Dennis Roberts, Angel Pasillas, Bob Jones and Albert Jones. Honorary Pallbearers are all Benjamin's family and friends. Inurnment will be held at the St Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Red Lake, MN at a later date.
