Law Enforcement Memorial Service - Thursday, May 19, 5:30 PM

The Bemidji Police Department, Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office and Blackduck Police Department will host a Law Enforcement Memorial Service to honor fallen police officers who have died in the line of duty at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 19, at the Judicial Center Courtyard located at the corner of Beltrami Avenue and Sixth Street Northwest. If raining, the service will be held indoors at the Bemidji Fire Department, 316 5th St. N.W.

The public is invited to attend. Officers will remember Mahnomen County Deputy Sheriff Chris Dewey, who died August 10, 2010, as a result of a gunshot wound in the line of duty, and Maplewood Police Officer Joseph Bergeron, who died of a gunshot May 1, 2010.
