Ambria Sierra Aragon, 18, of Bemidji entered the spirit world Sunday, May 15, 2011 in Bemidji.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Friday, May 20, 2011 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Red Lake, MN with Rev. Jerry Rogers officiating. A wake will begin 2pm on Wednesday at the Redby Community Center and will continue until the time of the services on Friday. Interment will be at the St. Mary’s Catholic cemetery in Red Lake under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

She was born October 10, 1992 in Bemidji, Minnesota, the daughter of Arles Aragon and Tanya (White) Jourdain. She was raised by Terrance and Tanya Jourdain. She had lived in Tuba City and Hotevilla, Arizona and was raised in Red Lake and Bemidji which she called home. She attended elementary school at J.W. Smith, Bemidji Middle School and Bemidji High School. While attending Bemidji High she studied Law Classes which really enjoyed and became very knowledgeable in the brief time in the course, because of her desire to pursue a career in Criminal Justice. During her spare time she enjoyed writing poems, journaling and spending quality time with her niece Mariah and her little sister Taryn she also enjoyed teaching her little sister Taryn good and bad things. Which would become “great memories” between the two sisters. She enjoyed being with friends at pow wows, shooting hoops, and watching her favorite basketball team “Red Lake Ogichidaag”. She loved music and enjoyed listening to Tupac, Kid Rock, and Lady Gaga. She enjoyed eating ramen noodles with red peppers while texting on her cell phone and watching 48 Hours, COPS, Lock Up, VH1 and MTV music channels, just chillin in “her chair”. She especially enjoyed and was complete when she was in the company of all her friends chillin in Ridgeway. She also loved to spend time with her pets Lou – E, and Cheech.

She was preceded in death by grandpa- Harold “HR” White, grandpa- Aaron Fred, Great grandma- Minnie Sakenima, Aunts; Eldora Colhoff, Ruth Lomayestewa, Uncles- John Colhoff, Sr., Layman, Murray, Larry and Denver Sakenima, Kevin Cooper, Ricky White, great grandpa- Norbert “Sam” Colhoff, great grandma- Emma Beaulieu Colhoff and grandma- Marion “Monica” Beaulieu.

Active Casketbearers will be Shaundae White, Verdell Beaulieu, Jr., Brennan Dudley, Brody Sayers, Austin Schoenborn, Jimmy Jourdain with alternates Taj Eaglefeather and David “Junior” Tyndall.
