Anna Mae (Guinn) Wallace, 67, of Squaw Lake, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, in Squaw Lake.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, in St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, Highway 46, Squaw Lake. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Monday, May 16, at the Native American Community Center, County Road 4, Max, Minn. Burial will be in Round Lake Cemetery, Smith Point Road, Squaw Lake, Minn.

She was born August 1, 1943, to William and Agnes Guinn, in White Earth. She attended school at Deer River, married December 19, 1971, in Grand Rapids and gave birth to three children. She lived in Grand Rapids, Deer River, and Inger and then moved to Squaw Lake in the 1990s. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, attending pow-wows and playing bingo and cards, and sharing joy with others. She was a member of the St. Catherine’s Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Eugene L. Wallace of Squaw Lake; son, Eugene Lee Deutsch of Grand Rapids, Minn.; daughter, Andrea (Don) of Squaw Lake; brother, George (Viola) Guinn of Squaw Lake; and sister, Alice (Ernest) of Garcia, Calif.

She is preceded in death by her son, Baby Boy Guinn; parents; brothers, David and Lawrence; and sisters, Agnes and Dorothy.

Arrangements are with Carroll Funeral Home, Deer River, Minnesota.
