Red Lake IHS Proclamation Honoring Nurses

PROCLAMATION

Whereas, the Nursing profession comprise our nation's and the Red Lake Service Unit's largest health care profession, and

Whereas, the professional practice scope of the Red Lake Nursing profession meets the different and emerging health care needs of the Native American population in a wide range of settings, and

Whereas, the Red Lake Professional Nursing is an indispensable component in the safety and quality of care provided daily to our patient population, and

Whereas, the Nursing Staff at the Red Lake Service Unit is a voice for and on behalf of the patient in our efforts to meet the complex needs of our health care consumers in the Red Lake Tribal community, and

Whereas, that you as a member of the Red Lake Service Unit Nursing profession, and

Whereas, the American Nurses Association has declared the week of May 9-13, 2011 as National Nurses Week in celebration of ways in which Nurses strive to provide safe and high quality health care, therefore be it

Resolved, that I, Gary Wabaunsee, CEO, Red Lake I.H.S. Service Unit ask all staff and community members join me in honoring the Nurses, such as yourself who care for all of us, and be it further

Resolved, that the staff and community members recognize and celebrate nursing accomplishments and their ongoing efforts to improve our health care system and show our appreciation for the nurses not just during this week, but at every opportunity throughout the year.
