Important Meeting with FEMA Representatives on Monday. May 16, 2011

From the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Management:

Representatives from the State Homeland Security and Emergency Management as well as FEMA will be on hand Monday, May 16, 2011 from 8 AM until noon to conduct preliminary damage assessments (PDA) for every city, town, township and Beltrami County in order to establish qualification for reimbursement under the declared FEMA Disaster for the State of Minnesota. This application and assessment applies to all public infrastructures such as roads, ditches, bridges, right of ways, public buildings, etc.

It is imperative that all public entities provide a representative to complete the process.

This meeting will be held at the Law Enforcement Center (LEC) Training Room/EOC located at 613 Minnesota Ave NW in Bemidji. Participants should park in the County Administration parking lot located at 701 Minnesota Ave NW (1st building and lot just north of the LEC lot). The EOC/Training Room is at the northwest corner of the LEC.

If you already have experience with assessments you are welcome to come anytime during the 4 hour period. Those who are new might want to come at 8:00 AM in case you have questions and more time is required to complete your forms.
