Sharon Raisch

Sharon Jean Raisch, 46, of Cass Lake, died Monday, May 9, 2011, at the Neilson Place in Bemidji.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 13, at the Veteran’s Memorial Building in Cass Lake, with Pastor James Wheatley officiating. A wake will begin on Wednesday, May 11, at the Veteran’s Memorial Building, and continue until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Pine Grove cemetery in Cass Lake, under the direction of the Cease Family Funeral Home of Bemidji.

Active pallbearers will be Alonzo Raisch, Theodore Littlewolf, Reggie Littlewolf, David Raisch, Brandon White, Rueben Littlewolf, Rupert Olson and Kyle Raisch. Alternates will be Isaac and Eli Raisch.

Honorary pallbearers will be her brothers, sisters and daughter, Cherie Olson.

She was born on February 11, 1965, to Charles Raisch and Laura DeFoe in Bemidji. She was raised and educated in Cass Lake. She worked in Walker as a valet and cashier, at the Northern Lights Casino, and in housekeeping at the Country Inn and Suites. She enjoyed helping others, spending time with children, making fry bread, visiting casinos, and attending pow-wows.

She is survived by her sons, Alonzo Raisch of Hawaii, Simon Raisch of Cass Lake, Theodore Littlewolf of Cass Lake, Reggie Littlewolf of Cass Lake and Rupert Olson of Cass Lake; a daughter, Cherie Olson of Cass Lake; brothers, Charles Raisch Jr. of Cass Lake, Rick Raisch of Cass Lake; sisters, Tina Raisch of Cass Lake, Judy Raisch of Cass Lake, Charlene (Paul) Connor of Cass Lake, Doris Raisch of Cass Lake, Bertha Raisch of Cloquet, Minn.; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Fawn Raisch; and companion Rupert Littlewolf.
