Melvin C. Boswell Obituary

Melvin C. Boswell “Ole”, “Mashkowiibiitang” (Strong Thunder Coming), age 89, of Minneapolis journeyed to the Spirit World on Sunday, May 1st, 2011.

He was born on The White Earth Reservation on October 23, 1921 the son of George & Sophie Rock Boswell. Ole honorably served his Country in The United States Army. On January 20, 1958, Melvin C. Boswell & Madeline Jones were joined in marriage in Bemidji, Minnesota. He owned and operated for many years Melvin Boswell Labor Service. He loved to hunt and trap.

Survived by loving wife: Madeline; daughters: Sharon (Ken) Mitchell of Cass Lake, Nancy & Terri Boswell both of Minneapolis; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by parents: George & Sophie, 5 brothers, 4 sisters, a daughter: Dora Boswell and 2 grandchildren: Charlene Boswell & Anthony “Buddha” Boswell.

Funeral service 10:00 A.M. Thursday Church of Blessed Kateri, 3045 Park Avenue S., in Minneapolis. Visitation at THE CHURCH beginning 5:00 P.M. TODAY and continues till time of services.
