The Red Lake Police Department is now accepting applications for Community Patrol Positions in all Districts

~RED LAKE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY~

Community Patrol Positions for: Red Lake, Little Rock,

Redby & Ponemah

The Red Lake Police Department is now accepting applications from

members of the community to be involved in the Community Patrol

Program. Participants will receive training in radio and law enforcement

operations, community patrol techniques and will be certified as

community patrol officers.

This is an exciting opportunity to be actively involved in working with

law enforcement and patrolling your own community and creating a

safer environment for your loved ones and to engage in successful

Crime Prevention!

As a Community Patrol Officer, you will be involved in a wide spectrum

of events in addition to patrolling, such as Powwows, providing traffic

control when necessary, Community Event participation and will have

personal knowledge of high crime areas where you can concentrate

your patrol efforts.

Community Patrol Officers are an integral part of Crime Prevention.

Communities that have Community Patrol see a reduction in the crime

rate by as much as 20 percent! Our Community Patrol Officers enable the

Red Lake Tribal Law Enforcement Officers to spend more time on patrol

and focus on their primary mission. Another benefit to the communities

we live in is the cost savings. Properly implemented, Community Patrol

groups are an excellent compliment to Law Enforcement agencies

whom are short staffed.

Are you interested in being a Community Patrol Member? Do you want

to be part of creating a safer community and work with Law Enforcement

to protect and serve and help reduce crime, then we need you!

Community Patrol is a cornerstone of “Community Policing”.

If you would like to be a part of our team and take part in this exciting

opportunity, please contact: Officer Kimberly Wood – Law Enforcement

Liaison & Patrol at (218) 679-1917. Please leave your name and a number

that is best to reach you at. The Red Lake Police Department hopes to

hear from citizens interested in making a difference in our communities!
