Red Lake Earth Day Fair 2011
The First Annual Red Lake Nation Earth Day Fair 2011 took place on Thursday, April 21st at the Red Lake Boys and Girls Club. This years theme was reduce, reuse, recycle and renew, and featured over 20 booths, which allowed for interaction to allow the community to learn of natural resource projects and services, all in the hopes of inspiring an awareness of the environment.
Activities included motor vehicle tire pressure checks, the Red Lake Walleye Recovery Project, Recycled Parts, Bike Safety, Importance of Conservation, Plastic Bag Recycling Exchange, a Fishing Game, Hazardous Waste Material Drop Off, and others.
The event was coordinated by Cody Charwood and Jerilyn Bohm of the Red Lake Department of Natural Resources.
