    Over 2000 kids at the Red Lake Indian Reservation will have a happier Christmas this year thanks to dozens of volunteers, and donations from scores of businesses and individuals.     The Red Lake Department of Public Safety was recently awarded a grant in the amount of $197,279 from the Department of Justice Smart Office. The Smart Office administers standards and grants for the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA) set forth in Title 1 of the Adam Walsh Act. The act is a federal statute signed into law on July 27, 2006. The Walsh Act sets federal minimums of which jurisdictions must adopt for classification purposes.
