On November 9, 2017 at approximately 3:39 AM, Beltrami County Sheriff’s office received a call from neighbors who heard a loud explosion and reported a residence engulfed in flames located in the 18200 Block of Lookout Tower Road in Hines Township. Responders from Blackduck Fire and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office arrived on the scene to find the house to be fully engulfed in flames. HINES, Minn. — A Bemidji-area man died in a house explosion and fire early Thursday, according to the Beltrami County sheriff’s office. The sheriff’s office received a call at about 3:39 a.m. and neighbors reported hearing a loud explosion and a house engulfed in flames in the 18200 block of Lookout Tower Road in Hines Township, the release said.
