KESHENA — The Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin says federal agents entered tribal lands and improperly destroyed a crop of industrial hemp. Federal officials, however, say the crop was an illegal marijuana grow operation. Acting U.S. Attorney Gregory Haanstad says agents executed a search warrant on Friday, October 23rd, and seized about 30,000 marijuana plants weighing several pounds. A Navajo Nation spokesman says two boys reported missing near Beshbito, Arizona, have been found. The Navajo Times reports the brothers, ages 3 and 4, were located Wednesday morning by their aunt. POLSON – A 31-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to charges that he and his girlfriend viciously beat a Ronan day care owner who refused to allow him to take his biological children home because he didn’t have legal custody of them and appeared to be intoxicated. Francis Jackson entered the plea in Lake County District Court on Wednesday. His girlfriend, 21-year-old Tashiana Schlensker, pleaded not guilty last week.
