    Fifteen Red Lake members, as part of the Native Thunder Distance Runners, participated in the annual Twin Cities Marathon held in Minneapolis and St. Paul on Sunday October 2, 2011. The 30th annual Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon weekend, was held September 30th through October 2.     All districts on the Red Lake Reservation will be getting much needed new Community Centers. Ponemah Multi-use Community Center, the first on the list, is nearly complete. Little Rock is next on the list, followed by Redby, and then a new Red Lake Community Center will follow.     Some might say that Red Lake is all about basketball, and rightly so. The communities of Redby and Ponemah both have brand new courts, complete with free-throw and three-point lines, and first class fencing all around the perimeter.     A group of 25 third thru 6th grade boys headed out after school to Cass Lake High School on a sunny, chilly autumn day. The majority of the boys have been practicing for a month and only two are returners from last year. Some only had a week of practice, one only a day.
