PAUL, Minn. — Some residents in the northwest Minnesota city of Karlstad are being evacuated due to a nearby fire that has already destroyed two homes on the outskirts of town, state fire officials said Tuesday.     The DNR has requested a road closure due to the fire conditions in northern Beltrami County. Therefore, Dick's Parkway NW which is the short cut from Fourtown, MN to Warroad, MN (in Minnie, unorganized and Yale Townships located 95 miles northwest of Bemidji, is closed to everyone, except for those that have a house (and proof they live there). Law enforcement will be staged to prohibit entry from either end of Dick's Parkway. Hunters and other outdoor activities are prohibited in this area due to safety concerns....

    After some further investigation, it was determined today that the artist who created the Spheres Sculpture, which was prominently displayed in downtown Bemidji, removed it and took it back to his studio.
