    Nearly half of students in Southwest Minneapolis’ publicly funded schools are not mastering grade-level standards in reading and math, according to the latest round of statewide standardized test results. About 55.9% of Southwest Minneapolis students were proficient in reading in 2019 and 54.4% were proficient in math, according to results released Aug. 30.
