    The Red Lake Nation hosted Hall of Fame Coach Larry McKenzie of Minneapolis North, who volunteered to come up and work with our kids on their game.     On Saturday, September 10, 2016, the Red Lake Tribal Council sponsored a "Gathering with the Youth" Event at the Red Lake Pow Wow Grounds area. This event provided backpacks for pre-school to 12th grade students, and there were numerous games with cash prizes to winners, along with a cookout meal for all participants.     From KKCQ Fosston Radio Brett Sundquist ran for 223 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead the Greyhounds to the season opening win at Red Lake. Krister Anderson scored the first touchdown of the game for Fosston on a ten yard fumble recovery.
