On Saturday the Unity Riders continued on their journey to the Red Lake High School for a Memorial Ceremony, and on to the Red Lake Pow Wow Grounds for a Healing Ceremony. They had traveled from Spirit Lake, North Dakota, about a 250 mile journey. After the Healing Ceremony and delivering a ceremonial staff for the Red Lake High School, a feast was held at the Pow Wow Grounds, followed by two traditional weddings and some entertainment by the riders to end the day....

Deputies responded to the scene and located Tyler Blake Cummings, age 21, of Bemidji, MN. Cummings had been struck by a car driven by Samantha Ruth Pender, age 19, also of Bemidji, MN.
