    Bemidji, Minn. — The Red Lake Band of Ojibwe is gearing up to reforest 50,000 acres of tribal land. Red Lake was once a sea of red and white pine forest stretching across the reservation. But tribal officials say the federal government mismanaged the forest starting in the early 1900s. The pine trees were cut down and never successfully replanted.     On Thursday, August 25, nine students received Certificates from Red Lake Comprehensive Health Services, for completing the 110 Hour Emergency Medical Technician Course. These students, which started on May 3, 2011 and originally had 19 students, completed the course and were on their last day of class.     CROOKSTON — The jury panel lost another member today in murder trial of Thomas Fairbanks in Crookston. That makes it 14, including two alternates. Minnesota District Judge Jeff Remick told attorneys from both sides after lunch that a juror, a Crookston man, was battling an infection from a cyst near his ear.
