The Red Lake Warriors won their first two games of the season with 12-6 win over Lake of the Woods in Red Lake. Although they only played one game, they decided beforehand that this scheduled double-header would give two victories to the winner. Red Lake was supposed to play a game at Lake of the Woods in April but was cancelled because of rain. Alex English pitched the entire 7 innings for the Warriors and got the win.
