Several dozen people showed up Friday to the second annual Two-Spirit Awareness Day in Cass Lake, celebrating people on the reservation who are LGBTQ, a group native tribes have long believed to possess two spirits.     The Red Lake Nation College recently announced it received a George W. Neilson Foundation community development grant for $100,000. According to the Neilson Foundation, the grant will be paid to the Red Lake Nation College over two years with $50,000 paid in 2016 and $50,000 to be paid in 2017. The Neilson Foundation's purpose is to provide community development grants to help Bemidji and the surrounding area. They were shocked to learn that one bat is capable of eating 1,000 mosquitos per hour! They also had the opportunity to make "Bat Mobiles" and other kinds of bats, using origami paper.
