Tatianna McClain and Kathy Sigana advanced to the Section Golf tournament. Both the varsity boys and girls competed on Thursday, May 24th at Longbow Golf Course. McClain golfed at 93 and placed 3rd in the sub-sections. Sigana also advanced as an individual with a score of 129. She tied with 2 over golfers and had to win a hole-by-hole competition to advance. On May 27, 2013, at 1:46 p.m., the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office, Cass Lake Fire and Leech Lake Tribal Police responded to a house fire in the 6800 block of Maple Beach Court NE in Sugarbush Township. Upon arrival at the scene, deputies found a house fully engulfed and evidence that the residence had been burglarized prior to the fire.
