    On April 30, 2012 at approximately 6:35 pm, Red Lake Law Enforcement received a report of a reckless driver near the community of Redby and upon locating the vehicle a high speed pursuit ensued to an area just south of Redby on the Green Lake Road. The vehicle contained four occupants and two of the occupants fled on foot when the vehicle came to a rest and the other two were immediately taken into custody.     Students in Mr. Rogers' 9th grade Physical Science class at Red Lake High School recently completed testing their solar ovens. The winning team of Jacob Johnson, Jerrell Fairbanks, and Darren Kingbird created a solar oven that reached a new high of 123.1 degrees Celsius. This equals 254 degrees Fahrenheit.     A new report from the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) shows that the number of reportable sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) in Minnesota climbed to a new high of 19,547 in 2011. The continued rise in STDs prompted health officials to encourage sexually active people to practice prevention and get tested regularly.
