    A member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe who burned down his ex-girlfriend's trailer was sentenced to 57 months in federal prison last week as the victim's family continues to await justice for her death. Relatives of Jessie Waters, whose home was destroyed by the December 2014 fire, spoke at the sentencing of Duane Benson, according to minutes from the April 21 hearing.     Another week has passed without a decision from the U.S. Supreme Court in a closely-watched tribal jurisdiction case. The justices only issued one ruling on Tuesday and it wasn't in Dollar General Corporation v. Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.     Winnipeg police have made an arrest in the death of Simone Sanderson, whose body was found in the city's North End almost four years ago. Kyllan James Ellis, 28, of Lorette, Man., has been charged with second-degree murder, the Winnipeg Police Service announced Tuesday.     A woman on a Montana American Indian reservation pleaded not guilty to murder Tuesday in the alleged beating death of a 13-month-old relative who was under her care, court officials said. Janelle Red Dog, 42, is accused of striking and killing Kenzley Olson, then putting her body in a trash dumpster before reporting the girl missing April 19.     SASKATOON — An inquest into the death of a 35-year-old woman at the Saskatoon Regional Psychiatric Centre has been postponed indefinitely.
