    The University of Minnesota, Morris Circle of Nations Indigenous Association (CNIA) hosted the 30th annual CNIA Powwow on Saturday, April 5, in the Physical Education (PE) Center. Dancers from all around the United States and Canada gathered in Morris for this annual social gathering.     WHITE EARTH -- A White Earth man was sentenced in federal court Thursday for assaulting a woman with a short-barreled shotgun in June. Michael James Deegan, 24, was sentenced to concurrent prison terms of 92 months and 60 months in federal prison for possession of an unregistered firearm and assault resulting in substantial bodily injury on a White Earth woman.
